2017 East Ridge Homecoming Queen

My daughter Amy, a senior at East Ridge High School, was crowned the 2017 East Ridge Homecoming Queen  It was a great honor to be nominated and selected by her peers. East Ridge has a student population of close to 1800 students.

I didn’t grow up and go to school in the United States. Homecoming as part of the school culture was a foreign concept for me.  I didn’t know and care much about Homecoming until I saw my daughter becoming the Homecoming Queen and my colleague told me: “This is a big deal in American high school!”

Well congratulations to the new 2017 East Ridge Homecoming Queen. I am very proud of you!
